In the news recently we have seen a violent assault on a woman in a parking lot in Auckland. It is important for all of us to look after our safety and do what we can to avoid these situations. Pet friendly PIRs (passive infrared sensors) are now available and are proving to be very popular. These PIRs have a pet tolerance level; starting with a tolerance of 9kgs and going all the way up to 32kgs depending on the device. These devices are great for those with a fluffy companion who likes to be inside when the alarm is set. Remember, PIRs detect changes in heat, so if you have scaly, cold blooded companions, you don’t need to worry about pet PIRs.
