Products

Cameras can be colour or day/night which changes from colour during the daylight hours to black and white in low light conditions. Black and white is the most effective way to get maximum information from a camera in low light conditions.

Gone are the days of changing tapes; Watchdog can provide storage of each camera in real time for anywhere between two weeks to six months depending on your requirements. Our systems are all network ready and with a static IP address, can be viewed remotely across the internet.

Cameras can be fixed, auto panning or pan tilt zoom (PTZ) with a joystick controller. Different lens sizes are available to get the perfect shot.

• Fixed cameras are installed to look at a specific area and can only be moved or repositioned manually by a technician.
   
• Auto panning cameras have a motor and are programmed to scan a selected area from left to right and back. This avoids having multiple cameras or having too wide a lens that captures all of the area but distorts the picture.
   
• The PTZ or pan tilt zoom cameras can be controlled remotely with a joystick to scan an area up to 360 degrees and zoom in on any area.

Covert cameras are installed where hidden surveillance is required. They can record in colour or black and white and can be disguised as any number of objects or embedded in a wall or ceiling. Privacy laws and other legislation must be adhered to when installing a covert camera’s. Contact one of our security consultants or ex Detectives who can advise you on what you can and can’t do.

IP Cameras are an Internet Protocol camera which captures and streams live digital video footage over an IP network. IP cameras allow homeowners and businesses to view their camera(s) through any internet connection available through a computer or a 3G phone. The footage can be viewed and managed remotely from a Web browser, and is archived in digital format. IP cameras have wireless connections, are capable of advanced video analytics, and offer more flexibility than their analog predecessors.

• IP Camera features include 2 way audio which allow users to communicate what they are seeing (e.g. Gas station clerk assisting a customer on how to use the prepay pumps).
   
• IP Video Surveillance – A video surveillance system that allows analog and/or IP cameras, operating over a standard IP network, to transmit real-time video feeds over the internet. The video footage is processed and recorded digitally onto an NVR (Network Video Recorder) where it can be accessed remotely by any PC connected to the network.
